Have you made any new friends lately?
Last Friday night, August 24, 2012 was the joyous fun that all the students, faculty & administrative staff of Golden West Colleges, from first year to fourth year [fifth year for the Engineering students], were having together for the 19th Acquaintance Party and Induction Ball of GWC at Don Leopoldo Sison Auditorium.
"Truly that a closed hand, so the old saying is --- cant receive! Neither can a closed heart or a closed mind. A person must be willing to risk rejection & consequent hurt to get through to people & to win their affection or their loyalty. He must be willing to abandon the armor of indifference that so many of us wear. But when the risk is taken, when one person reaches out across the silence to touch another person, the rewards -- for both of them -- can be very great. "
With the THEME : "Leaders share vision and mobilized resources in accomplishing goals " -- a perfect theme which pictures indispensable attitude in reaching one's goal (Billon, SSC Pres.)
And he qoute "Being the SSC President, I persuade you to be one because I know, through concerted effort, we will make a difference".

Speech of Guest of Honor and Speaker from Atty. Cirilo B.
Radoc, CPA, MBA,
Awarding of Plaque of Appreciation by Mrs. Aileen Nogoy,
assisted by Mr. Angin Camba,
Followed by the induction of Officers by all Department the
College of Education (CED), College of Engineering (CE), College of Accountancy
and Business Administration (CABA), College of Criminology (CCrim), College of
Information and Computing Studies (CICS) and the Para-med. Department. And Peer
Facilitator Association.
Next to that, The Turnover of the Key and Mantle of
responsibility by Ms. Angelica Melu (the outgoing SSC President) to Mr. Ericson
M. Billon.

After the first part of the party proceed to second
part to second part of the program the Dance Competition which is cultural
dance; “Piliin Mo Ang Pilipinas” sung
by Ms. Angeline Quinto, the first group
who took the stage was;

then Criminology

the BEED

and the last
was CSIT Department.
The winner of
dance competition was the PARA-MED combined
with HRM & BSIE Department;
second place is BSBA
& BSA Department,
and the third
place was the Criminology Department.
